1.      Q:  Where do the jobs in your database come from? 

A:  Good question! We are glad you asked!  Jobs in our database come from 3 primary channels; 1) our employer partners post jobs on a regular basis, 2) we work with staffing agencies and third party recruiting partners who also post jobs, and, 3) to ensure that our job seekers have the latest updated information, our job researchers spend hours everyday on the phone with employers and search the web for the latest new listings of exciting jobs.  We are continuously working hard with our current employer partners while building new relationships and forming new partnerships all the time. That’s right!  We spend the hours searching so you don’t have to!  Our goal is to provide you, the job seeker, with the best resource on the market for the best value -- a one-stop shop for all your sports career needs! 

2.      Q:  What types of jobs are in your database?

A:  While we provide a variety of positions for the entry-level candidate to the executive, a majority of our positions fall in the middle.  Jobs available that can be found in our job database in a variety of fields and concentrations, including but not limited to: Sports Marketing, Sales, Advertising & Promotions, Management, Administration, Financial, Executive Directorships, Broadcasting, Website Technology, Coaching, Recreation, Health, Fitness, Media and Public Relations, Events, Internships, etc. In addition, our database is divided into twelve different industry categories listed below.

3.      Q:  How fresh are the job leads and how often are they posted?

A:  We post new and exciting job opportunities every day of the week except Sunday.  The jobs in our database are approved and posted daily, within 24 hours of being submitted. To ensure our standards of quality, each job posting is individually reviewed by one of our staff members before being posted to the database.  

4.      Q: How long do the jobs remain posted?

A: On the average our jobs are posted for 30 days unless the employer has a short term hiring deadline and would like the position only posted for a couple of weeks.  Sometimes jobs will remain posted beyond 30 days if the employer would like to review more candidates.  

5.      Q: How many jobs are in your database at any given time?

A: While this varies form day to day, job seekers can be assured that there are always hundreds of jobs posted.

6.      Q: Where are the posted jobs located?

A:  While most of the jobs are located in the United States and Canada, from time to time we have positions available internationally.  For your convenience, jobs can be searched by state, internationally or by over a dozen industry career categories.

7.      Q: How can I contact employers about job openings?

A: Each job description includes all the contact information provided by the employer.  Most of our employers opt to receive resume applications via email, although there are some employers that request applicants via fax or direct mail.  Either way you can be assured that we will provide you with all the information available.

8.      Q: Is it safe to use my credit card to purchase my membership online?

A: WomenSportsJobs.com uses the most credible and secure methods available to ensure that your transaction is safe. 

11.   Q:  Do I have to be a subscriber to the job database to be considered for a job?

         A:  No. We recommend that everyone who is interested in applying for a position submit their resume into our resume bank and select your area of career interest.  There is NO FEE to do this.  The resume bank is reviewed by our employer partners and used at their leisure.  We recommend you subscribe to our database if you wish to take a more “pro-active” position in your job search and you would like to contact the employer directly.

Q:     How do I cancel my membership?

A: Simply email us with your cancellation request to cancel@womensportsjobs.com.  Please write "Cancel" in the subject heading of the email. Also, please write the full name of the subscriber.  You will receive a confirmation email within 48 hours. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 48 hours, please call the office at (714) 848-1201. Customers are responsible for charges incurred until their current expiration date. These charges are non-refundable.  Since many of our members over the past year have requested ongoing uninterrupted service, we have implemented a discounted auto renew service.  This provides continuous access at a discount until you cancel your subscription.  We provide membership renewal information at the time ensuring that our members won’t experience any interruption in service. Hot Jobs of the Week Newsletter

1.      What do I receive when I sign up for the newsletter?
If you sign up for the newsletter, you will receive information on the “Hot Jobs of the Week” in the sports industry.  The newsletter gives you leads on the type of jobs we are listing in our jobs database.

Resume Bank & Resume Services

1.      Q: Why should I post my resume on your site?

A: Employers in the sports industry will be able to view your resume through our resume database system. Access to the database is password protected to insure your privacy. All job seekers have the option to submit their resume confidentially as well.

2.      Do we provide a resume bank and a resume service?
Yes, we do provide a resume bank, where you can submit your resume FREE of charge.  The resume bank is a service to our employer partners who wish to search resume bank to do their employment screening.  Employers can search by key words, state, or work experience.  We also provide a resume re-writing services for individuals interested in working with one of our career counselors to update, refresh or compile a completely new sports resume.

CONFIDENTIAL RESUME

Q:  I am currently working and considering a career move.  I would like to submit my resume but would like to do so confidentially without my name surfacing in employer searches.  Can I submit my resume as “CONFIDENTIAL” with no name appearing on the employer resume preview screen? 
A:  Yes, simply put “CONFIDENTIAL” in the Last Name field box and leave the First_Name field box blank.
