Women's Sports Services & the 
Women In Sports Careers Foundation 
to Celebrate NGWSB Through Public Speaking Engagements

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA For the past three years, Women’Sports Services (WSS) has held girls sports events in Orange County in celebration of NGWSD (National Girls and Women in Sports Day). Taking time out this year to help support the future of women’s sports through education, Becky Heidesch, CEO of Women’Sports Services and Co-Founder of the newly formed WISC Foundation (Women in Sports Careers), will share her expertise with top industry executives and media at the Youth MarketXchange Conference, in Long Beach, Feb. 4-5, 2000.

Following the Conference, Heidesch will head to Chicago for the press conference & unveiling for the new women’s professional volleyball league, the USPV (United States Professional Volleyball League), Feb. 8,where she will speak on "The Rise of Women’s Sports in America".

Heidesch is a product of Fountain Valley High School in Fountain Valley, CA. (Orange County). She brings a career of sports and business to her current roles. Launched in 1995, her company, Women’Sports Services, a full service women’s sports marketing agency, publishes the Women’Sports Wire -- a national clearinghouse for women’s sports business news and information.

The Youth Market Xchange Executive Conference is hosted and produced by Miller Freeman Sports Group, Inc. one of the world's largest business-to-business media companies and PRNewswire. Executives from companies such as Quiksilver/Roxy, FootAction, The Regan Group/Gravity Games, Gotcha, and O’Neill will be present.

On Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, Heidesch will moderate an executive panel involving some of the top trend setters in the growing youth sports market, including Randy Hild, Sr. VP of Marketing for Quiksilver. The panel presentation is, "Which Sports to Track" is scheduled for 3:15pm on Friday. In a special Go Girl! Track on Saturday, Heidesch will present at 11:00am on "Courting the Girls: Marketing to Young Athletes". The presentation will focus on the growing girls sports market and the business opportunities behind this explosive new market.

Heidesch will then take her expertise to the Midwest for the press conference and unveiling of the new women’s professional volleyball league, the USPV. The league, which is based in Chicago, is scheduled to launch in January 2001. WSS and the WISC Foundation will join forces next year for what promises to be a great event for Orange County NGWSD!
