Women's
Sports Services teams up
with African American Women in Technology

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA. (August 12,
2004). Women's Sports Services, LLC (WSS), a career development and
diversity recruitment company that operates the online career center
WomenSportJobs.com, has announced a partnership with the African
American Women in Technology (AAWIT). The partnership will focus on
diversity hiring needs in the sports and entertainment industries. Both
organizations will provide additional support to promote women of color
interested in sports and technology related careers.
The African-American Women in
Technology organization (AAWIT) is a non-profit organization dedicated
to the education, support and advancement of African-American women in
the field of Information Technology. AAWIT encourages, promotes and
serves the interest(s) of African-American women in Information
Technology, striving to help its members advance their careers and
enhance their personal development through special resources and
networking opportunities. AAWIT.net is an informative, educational,
resourceful, online community and is research, quality and community
oriented
"The synergy between AAWIT and WSS
will give our members the opportunity to use their technology skills to
explore career opportunities in the sports industry. This gives them an even greater
opportunity to enhance their lives and the lives of their
families," said Monique Boea, president and founder of
the African American Women in Technology (AAWIT).

our employer partners a great reach of qualified women with expertise in
technology fields and ensure that AAWIT members have increased career
opportunities in non-traditional fields, said Mary Lou Youngblood, Chief

Through the partnership both groups will work to cross promote services
and offerings. In addition, members of the African American Women in
Technology (AAWIT) will have access to a comprehensive online career
center including job listings, resume support, career development
seminars and networking events. "We are proud to support the

working together to ensure diversity hiring in sports," said Becky
