Broadcasting & MediaSports Media is defined as the news and events surrounding the world of sport. Once the lone domain of newspapers, sports media has evolved into radio shows, television shows and now specialty sites on the Internet. Examples of companies in print media include: Sports Illustrated Women Magazine, Golf for Women, Real Sports, Surfing Girl Magazine and the sports page of your local newspaper. Examples of companies in electronic media covering women’s sports include: Lifetime Television, CBS Sports, NBC Sports, ESPN, ESPN 2, Fox Sports, She Got Game radio. Look into these companies or ones like them if sports media sounds interesting to you.  For networking organizations, consider joining the Association of Women in Sports Media (AWSM)
