Senior Women's Administrator - The University of Wyoming

Athletic Director - The University of Texas

The University of Texas at San Antonio, an NCAA Division I university, seeks a director of intercollegiate athletics who can build on the success of its program and provide athletic leadership in a dynamic and innovative university aiming to advance its standing as a nationally recognized institution of higher education in an urban context. The director of athletics reports to the president and is responsible for planning, budgeting, developing and directing all intercollegiate athletic programs and activities. The director of athletics is expected to provide leadership necessary to achieve a successful athletic program, ensure compliance to all governing authorities and establish a strong and positive presence at the local, regional and national levels. The position requires an individual who is an effective and articulate leader who will represent intercollegiate athletics in the community, the Southland Conference and other external areas, including UTSA's scheduled hosting of several NCAA men's and women's championship basketball events. The successful candidate will have an understanding of the role of intercollegiate athletics in American higher education; a record of success and five years of progressive responsibility as a Division I administrator; thorough knowledge of NCAA regulations, requirements and reporting systems; demonstrated skills in written, oral and interpersonal communication; and an understanding of marketing, development and promotion programs.
